Railcar 18
Original diesel railcar of the County Donegal Railway which entered service with the County Donegal Railway in 1940. Badly damaged by a fire on 7 November 1949, it had to be rebuilt and as a result observers noted that it lost much of its character. Restored to its original shape and features with a rebuild in 1996 by the N.W.I.R.S. (North West of Ireland Railway Society). It is one of only six original County Donegal Railcars still in existence. On loan by kind arrangement of the N.W.I.R.S.
Simplex 102T locomotive
Used in conjunction with Railcar 18 for all passenger services.
Returned to service in July 2007 following a major overhaul and refurbishment at the works of Alan Keef Ltd., Ross-on-Wye, England.
